About Us
So just who is this Dave guy? Tell me more about your business.
Dave is David Ottovich. And as we mentioned, he’s an Associate Certified Entomologist with decades of experience running large corporations and in all types of pest control. Dave’s a walking encyclopedia of information about things that creep, slink, buzz or skitter in the night. Or during the day. He’s twice been president of the OPCA (Oregon Pest Control Association), has taught community classes for the local Extension service, and has been a regular exhibitor at the Eugene Home Show for years. He’s been doing pest control since 1976.
Ask the Bug Man is a local, family business. There are no subcontractors to drop the ball, so it’s Dave’s reputation on the line on every job, including yours. His clients come in not from advertising, but from referrals from other satisfied customers. The field team consists of Dave and his sons Dylan and Brandon, and now includes 7 technicians who can get to you fast. Dave’s wife Julie keeps things running in the office. Because it’s a small, personal operation, Dave offers a few things that are pretty remarkable. There’s no travel charge for his services. No ‘service’ charge. And no extra charge for emergency after-hours work.
If you’ve gone anywhere outside your home in this area, you’ve probably come in contact with a property we’ve protected. Whether you’ve got mice in your 600 sq. ft. cottage or have a whole complex of buildings facing invading hordes of carpenter ants, we can take care of you. No job is too big or too small, though we do have some rather large clients, like the University of Oregon. You can see a list of some of our regular customers on our Testimonials page.
Dave made his television debut while consulting on an episode of TLC’s series Hoarding: Buried Alive. (If you’re interested, it’s Season 3, Episode 2, titled “There are Mice Everywhere”. And there were, too. Hundreds of them!)
You can check it out, but you might want to wait until after you’ve called Dave to discuss whatever pest problems you’re having right now. So go ahead. Here’s our contact info.
After all, there’s no point in waiting until your situation gets worse.
